Customer Service

Europe Medical is able to support you with order to cash services and can handle all stages of administration from receipt of order through to invoicing, payment and banking.

Europe Medical supply chain works closely with its customers to tailor all parts of the service to suit individual requirements. The services may consist of:

  • order receipt via Electronic Data Interchange (EDI), e-mail or fax
  • order processing and confirmation through validated Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
  • invoice generation and mailing
  • cash collection
  • robust reporting mechanism

Beside supply chain related activities Europe Medical is also able to support your Sales Force with customer related questions, preparing offers and consignment inventory checks.

Within our ISO 13485:2003 procedures we also secured recall and complaint handling.

Finance

Careful bookkeeping is an important aspect of any business. After all, it is imperative to know what your company owes others as well as what your clients owe you. There is no way to determine the bottom line without this vital information.

Reporting

Europe Medical offers a dynamic reporting system via its online Client Portal. You will be directed to all relevant information.

Fiscal Representation

Fiscal Representation is important for companies that are not established in the Netherlands. With Fiscal Representation you have the possibility to import goods without paying import VAT. Fiscal Representation is interesting for entrepreneurs from all over the world who want to distribute goods through the Netherlands. Having been cleared in for example Maastricht, the goods are free and without any further customs interference. Now the goods can be stored and transported quicker and freely.

Limited Fiscal Representation (LFR)
LFR is used the most because applying is simple and it offers many possibilities. For practically every logistic situation Europe Medical can find the appropriate solution. We always put first that all legal requirements are met. This is in the interest of the client and of Europe Medical as his service provider.

Intra-Community Delivery and Acquisition (ICD / ICA)
Europe Medical can for example clear goods in Maastricht that are destined for a German company. The import duties in the EU are then due in Maastricht. At the same time Europe Medical takes the responsibility for paying the import VAT, as Limited Fiscal Representative. However, Europe Medical does not have to pay import VAT in the Netherlands, as this tax is transferred to the Europe Medical VAT-administration. Europe Medical will then pass that VAT on to the German importer as an Intra-Community Transaction (ICT). It means that Europe Medical will list the VAT as an Intra-Community Delivery (ICD) to the German company, in conformity with the European legislation. The German importer must acquire this VAT in Germany with an Intra-Community Acquisition (ICV). In practice it will be as if the German importer had bought the goods for VAT in the Netherlands.

Logistic concept
When goods are cleared in Maastricht with LFR, the German import VAT must not be paid, allowing the client to obtain a liquidity advantage. Moreover, the goods are immediately free without any further customs interference at the storage and transport from Maastricht. From the Netherlands the goods can directly be delivered to customers of the importer in Germany or in other EU member states. They can also be exported again to countries outside the EU. 

Authorisation
LFR can be applied immediately without any investment. Europe Medical only needs the authorisation of the client. No bank guarantee needs to be issued. But Europe Medical applies strict administrative procedures guaranteeing that the VAT will be settled in conformity with the European VAT-legislation. On this subject clear agreements are always made with the clients.

General Fiscal Representation (GFR)
General Fiscal Representation offers even more possibilities than LFR. With GFR the foreign company, represented in the Netherlands by Europe Medical, can also deduct VAT from goods that are delivered to her. Europe Medical can for its client with General Fiscal Representation keep a separate Dutch VAT-administration, without the client being concerned by other Dutch taxes. This offers a large flexibility in the logistic and administrative processes. However, for the GFR a bank guarantee must be issued and it is customary to conclude an agreement. One enters into a GFR-agreement for a longer period, while LFR is also suitable for incidental consignments or shorter periods.
